Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Puppercise is a private dog walking service operating on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York, NY. By creating an account, booking a walk, or purchasing a membership you agree to these terms.

2. Our service

Every Puppercise walk is private to one household. One booking covers up to three dogs from the same home. We do not combine dogs from different households.

Walks include live status updates, photo check-ins, a paw wipe-down, water refresh, and a written recap. Walk timing is scheduled in good faith and may shift modestly due to weather, building access, traffic, or your dog's comfort on a given day.

3. Meet & greet

A meet & greet is complimentary when you purchase a package or membership. Booked on its own, the meet & greet is $10, and that $10 is credited toward your first walk.

4. Memberships, billing, and automatic renewal

Memberships are recurring subscriptions. Your first month is charged at the rate shown at checkout, and the membership then renews automatically each month at the standard monthly rate until you cancel. Payment is processed by our payment provider using the card on file.

Membership walk allowances are monthly and do not roll over into the following month. Unused walks expire at the end of the billing month.

5. Cancelling or pausing a membership

You may cancel your membership at any time by giving at least 15 days' written notice before your next renewal date (email hello@puppercisenyc.com or use the cancellation option in your account). Cancellations received with less than 15 days' notice take effect at the end of the following billing month, and that month is charged as normal.

You may also pause your membership instead of cancelling, for up to two consecutive months per calendar year. While paused you are not billed, walk allowances do not accrue, and your walker and schedule are held for your return. Pause requests also require 15 days' notice before the renewal date.

After a pause ends, billing resumes automatically at your standard monthly rate unless you cancel first.

6. Individual walks and late changes

Individual walks may be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 12 hours before the scheduled start. Changes inside 12 hours may be charged in full, since the time is reserved for your household.

If we ever cannot cover a scheduled walk, we will tell you as soon as possible and either reschedule it or refund that walk.

7. Refunds

Payments for completed walks are non-refundable. Membership fees already charged are non-refundable, but you may cancel or pause future renewals as described above. If something goes wrong on our side, contact us and we will make it right.

8. Your responsibilities

You confirm that you are the owner or authorized caretaker of each dog you book for, that the information you give us about health, behavior, allergies, medication, and vaccination status is accurate and kept current, and that your dog has no history of aggression you have not disclosed.

You are responsible for providing safe access to your home or building (keys, codes, doorman instructions) and for a properly fitted collar, harness, and leash.

9. Safety, veterinary care, and liability

We take reasonable care on every walk, but walking a dog in a city carries inherent risks that cannot be eliminated. Puppercise is not liable for injury, illness, escape, loss, or property damage except where caused by our negligence.

If your dog appears to need urgent veterinary attention during a walk, you authorize us to seek care and to contact your listed veterinarian or the nearest available clinic. You are responsible for the cost of that care.

We may decline or end a walk if we believe a dog, a walker, or the public is at risk.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your membership, we will notify you by email before it takes effect, and your continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
